Vegetable tanning keeps the leather “alive”, without synthetic coatings: you can see and feel its natural grain, and over time it matures, develops new shades and becomes even more beautiful, retaining an authentic vintage charm.

The tanning takes place in water using natural tannins extracted from bark and plants. The leather is slowly worked in rotating drums so it can absorb the colour deeply, creating warm, natural tones. For this reason, each bag may show small irregularities, veins and slight colour variations: these are not flaws, but the hallmark of real leather processed with traditional methods—making every piece unique.
