The John Richmond label: history and style

John Richmond is a British designer known for a rebellious spirit and inspiration drawn from rock culture and urban style. Born in Manchester, he grew up surrounded by music, subcultures and city creativity. His training took shape in London, where he studied fashion and absorbed the energy of the early 1980s: clubs, concerts and experimentation became the language through which he built a recognisable aesthetic—bold, yet attentive to detail.

After graduating, he launched his label in the early 1980s, standing out with strong construction and an unconventional attitude. Over time the project grew and, from the 1990s onward, strengthened its ties with Italy, bringing production to the country and combining British attitude with Italian manufacturing quality. Today John Richmond offers complete collections as well as accessories, staying true to the same idea: contemporary elegance, strong identity and careful finishing.
