Women’s tote bag by Pratesi Firenze 1948, crafted from fine Tuscan vegetable-tanned leather
in a warm honey-brown shade. The natural tanning with plant-based tannins makes the leather strong and durable,
while leaving its authentic grain visible: over time it gently darkens, gains a soft sheen and develops
an irresistible vintage charm.
The structured trapeze shape, enriched with gold-tone metal studs and the Pratesi crest with heraldic lions,
gives the bag a refined, distinctive look, ideal both for work and for leisure.
The rigid handles allow it to be carried elegantly by hand, while the adjustable, detachable leather shoulder strap
makes it comfortable to wear over the shoulder.

Vegetable-tanned leather: natural charm and uniqueness
The leather is vegetable tanned in drums with water and natural tannins extracted from tree bark.
This process preserves all the character of the hide: small irregularities, light creases
and slight variations in colour are not defects, but the distinctive sign of genuine natural leather,
making every bag unique and full of Italian character.
Pratesi Firenze 1948: Tuscan leather tradition
Pratesi Firenze is a historic family-run company founded in 1948 by master leather craftsman
Egidio Pratesi. The first creations were made for the world of cinema, with leather accessories
and armour, including the famous gladiator breastplates for the film "Quo Vadis". Later, the workshop evolved
into an artisanal leather goods company which, for three generations, has produced bags and accessories
with a distinctive style.
Pratesi bags combine classic lines, traditional Tuscan workmanship and meticulous finishing.
This vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather tote perfectly expresses the brand’s philosophy:
quality, craftsmanship and authentic Made in Italy style.
