Algeria taxes and customs duties on postal parcels

CIF - Valuation method used by the Algerian customs services. CIF calculates considering the value of the goods + insurance + shipping cost.

Customs duties
From 0 to 30% of the amount of CIF. The majority of goods are taxed at a maximum rate of 30%.

Sales tax (VAT)
17% of the sum of the CIF.

The threshold for the duty-free import
Parcels with a FOB value (the value of goods excluding transport and insurance costs) to 50,000 DZD (≈453.00 USD) are not subject to any taxes and customs duties.
