Tarina Tarantino, the acclaimed American designer in the world of luxury accessories, is universally loved for her vibrant, bold, and instantly recognizable style. From the age of three, Tarina began crafting jewelry using simple materials such as plastic and clay. As she grew, her passion transformed into art: during a stay in Paris, she created a collection by assembling clay charms, crystals, and vintage beads found at flea markets. Fashion editors and stylists immediately noticed her unique talent — the beginning of a brilliant career.

Back in Los Angeles in 1993, Tarina started designing nature-inspired hair jewelry — flowers, butterflies, insects — wearing the pieces herself and selling them directly on the street. This spontaneous success opened the doors to Hollywood: her creations appeared on cult TV shows such as Friends and Ally McBeal, marking the start of an early media phenomenon.

In 1995, together with her husband Alfonso Campos, she founded the Tarina Tarantino Design Company, launching production in her hometown. Each accessory is meticulously handcrafted using luxurious materials such as Swarovski crystals and German Lucite, yet retains a playful, pop DNA: bold combinations of resins, pearls, wood, and metals create striking, statement-making designs.

Tarina’s signature is kinetic: her jewelry isn’t just ornamental — it moves, vibrates, and captures light. Highlights include the “Iconic Butterfly” earrings and the famous butterfly necklace worn in 13 Going on 30. Collections like “Bubble Pop” and “Candy Cameo” feature layered resins, dangling pearls, and whimsical decorations that sway gracefully with every motion.

Among her most iconic creations are the Jenna Butterfly Necklace worn by Jennifer Garner, the mini-crystal Iconic Butterfly Earrings, the psychedelic Acid Alice Collection, and playful collaborations with Hello Kitty, Barbie, Mattel, and Marc Jacobs. Her accessories also extend to sparkling hairpieces — like the Queen Lolita Crown, floral clips, and crystal-studded barrettes — as well as phone wristlets and cosmetics designed for major retailers, always with her eccentric and “sparkly” touch.

At the heart of Los Angeles’ fashion district lies her immersive workshop, affectionately called “The Sparkle Factory” — a magical space where creativity thrives through suspended installations, joyful lighting, and whimsical energy. Tarina’s designs blend exaggerated elegance with playful fantasy: each piece is a sensorial experience, a tribute to color, movement, and fearless femininity.

Celebrities like Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, and Paris Hilton have showcased her creations on the most glamorous stages. Today, Tarina continues to launch up to 15 new handmade collections every year, driven by her belief that sparkle isn’t just decoration — it’s a state of mind. Her accessories celebrate one powerful truth: beauty can be bold, kinetic, and full of light.
