MBRC handbags embody the new creative vision of Massimo Braccialini, heir to a prestigious family tradition and son of the renowned Florentine designer Carla Cecconi-Braccialini, Cavaliere del Lavoro and timeless icon of Italian fashion. The brand’s story began in the heart of Tuscany in 1954, when Carla founded a small artisanal workshop dedicated to turning handbags into creative masterpieces enriched with imaginative decorations. By the 1970s, the business had grown into an established factory, joined by master craftsman Piero Balloni and Carla’s eldest sons, Riccardo and Massimo, who perfected their skills in cutting, sewing, and prototyping.

In 2014, Carla celebrated her 60-year career with the memorable exhibition “Il Giardino Incantato” at the Marino Marini Museum in Florence — a milestone event that marked the handover to the new generation.

Today, Massimo carries on the legacy with the brand M★BRC (MBRC), reinterpreting tradition with a modern twist.
