
The Chantal Thomass brand was founded by Chantal in 1975 in Paris. Chantal Thomass, Paris-born fashion designer, launched her first ready-to-wear bran din the 1960s, Ter et Bantine. She broke with tradition by using very unusual fabrics in her creations, such as wax clothing, flannelette and Lurex mesh. Her bohemian sense of style attracted numerous icons of that day and age, including Brigette Bardot. By founding her own fashion house focusing on lingerie, Chantal Thomass started a true revolution in women's undergarment.


She wanted lingerie to veil and reveal women's bodies with lace and fine, transparent fabrics. Her style was characteristic, bold and daring and she wanted to support woman's sexuality and not to hide it. She offered a bit of luxury to women by offering her seductive, sensual and beautiful lingerie.


The first boutique of the brand was opened and the first fashion show was organized in 1976. Chantal Thomass opened her store at Galleries Lafayettes and a showroom at 100 rue du Cherche-Midi in Paris. The house specialized in lingerie and hosiery, but in the 80s they expended their offer of products to carpets, furniture and stationery. In 1998 the brand was bought in association Sara Lee/Dim. The production was expended by glasses and umbrellas, by signing special license deals. The first fragrance by the brand was launched in March 2002 and it was named after the brand – Chantal Thomass. The brand promotes by lingerie and beachwear press show in Paris and by opening new boutiques in Paris, Kiev and Moscow. In 2005 Chantal Thomass joined the Dim Brands Apparel Group and sells its textile branch. In the following year the house focused on launching nightwear, stationery, candles, pens, eyeglasses. The brand presents their lines at Maison et Objet.

Partnerships with AGR/Createur d'Univers and JCD Creations/THG were started successfully. A new turnpoint for the company was the launch of cosmetics line in partnership with Nivea in 2009. The brand follows the new technology, which is proved in creation of protection shells for iPhone and other accessories for model, in collaboration with ModeLabs. Eau de Toilette Chantal Thomass, the new version of the original perfume was created, along with many other perfumes of the house. The most important event of 2011 was the Chantal Thomass brand joining Groupe Chantelle.



Products of the Chantal Thomass brand can be obtained in 18 countries worldwide today and collections are presented in fashion shows and in boutiques. The products bring a touch of glamour and luxury to every woman.
