The Birth of Braccialini’s Iconic TEMI Bags
Since 2003, each season, surprising three-dimensional bag-sculptures have come to life in Braccialini’s leather ateliers: the TEMI. Characters and objects are transformed into wearable icons — Frog, Peacock, Snail, Taxi, Crown and many more — becoming the most coveted pieces in the collections and the brand’s signature, now synonymous with imagination.
The TEMI are a “collection within the collection”: one-of-a-kind pieces, true works of Florentine craftsmanship, only seemingly playful. “It often takes two or three months to create a single prototype,” says the founder Carla Cecconi Braccialini, Cavaliere del Lavoro. Every TEMI bag is made entirely by hand and constructed “on a form,” a method that demands the utmost artisanal skill: each model comprises from fifty to one hundred components, excluding metal accessories. emblematic is the case of the Chameleon (2014 collection), for which research into materials, prints, and color gradients required lengthy tests and constant consultation with workshops and leather experts.

La Casina — the first Braccialini TEMI bag (2003 collection)
The first of its kind, La Casina — a trunk bag shaped like a country house, with a red leather roof, a rounded door, and a blossoming garden — was born in a flash of inspiration: the sketch surfaced suddenly as Carla was drafting new prototypes.
Since then, year after year, new TEMI have astonished with their creativity and constructional care, establishing these bags as a symbol of the Italian brand Braccialini.
